Fresh strawberries dipped in rich melted chocolate and finished with elegant toppings. This classic Valentine’s Day dessert is quick to make, naturally romantic, and perfect for sharing.

Chocolate-Covered Strawberries

16 fresh strawberries, washed and completely dry
7 oz dark chocolate (60–70% cocoa), chopped
Optional Toppings
 Melted white chocolate (for drizzling)
 Chopped nuts (pistachio, almond, hazelnut)
 Coconut flakes
 Freeze-dried strawberry powder
 Edible gold dust or sprinkles
Prepare the Strawberries
1

Wash strawberries and dry them completely using paper towels.

Moisture will prevent chocolate from sticking properly.

Melt the Chocolate
2

Place chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl.

Melt gently over a bain-marie (double boiler) or in short microwave bursts, stirring until smooth.

Let chocolate cool slightly before dipping.

Dip the Strawberries
3

Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into melted chocolate.

Gently twist to coat evenly and allow excess chocolate to drip off.

Place dipped strawberries on parchment paper.

Decorate (Optional)
4

While chocolate is still wet, sprinkle with toppings or drizzle with melted white chocolate.

Set
5

Refrigerate for 15–20 minutes until chocolate is firm.

Serve at room temperature for best flavor.
