Ingredients:
1 cup Water
1 cup Granulated Sugar
1/2 cup Fresh Ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
Instructions:
Prepare the Ginger Syrup:
Combine water, sugar, and ginger slices in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture begins to simmer.
Reduce heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes, allowing the ginger to infuse.
Remove from heat and let it steep for an additional 15-20 minutes for a stronger flavor.
Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove the ginger pieces.
Let the syrup cool to room temperature and transfer to a clean glass jar.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Prepare the Mug:
Fill a classic copper mule mug with ice cubes. Set aside.
Shake It Up:
In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, pear juice, lime juice, and ginger syrup.
Add ice and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until well-chilled.
Assemble the Mule:
Strain the mixture into the prepared mule mug over fresh ice.
Top Off:
Gently top with chilled ginger beer, stirring lightly to combine.
Garnish:
Add a fresh pear slice and a lime wheel for visual appeal.
Optional: Add a piece of candied ginger or a fresh mint sprig for a burst of aroma.
Serve immediately while the drink is cold and the ginger beer is still fizzy.
The copper mug keeps the drink chilled longer and enhances the overall experience.
