 1 oz fresh lemon juice (about ½ lemon)
 ¾ oz simple syrup (1:1 sugar to water)
 3 oz soda water, chilled
 Ice, to fill the glass
 Garnish: Lemon wheel and maraschino cherry

1. Chill the Glass

  • Fill a Collins glass with ice water to chill while you prepare the drink.


2. Shake the Ingredients

  • In a cocktail shaker, combine:

    • 2 oz gin

    • 1 oz fresh lemon juice

    • ¾ oz simple syrup

  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake for 10–15 seconds until well-chilled.


3. Strain & Top

  • Discard the ice water from the glass and fill it with fresh ice.

  • Strain the shaken mixture into the glass.

  • Top with 3 oz soda water, gently stirring to combine.


4. Garnish & Serve

 

  • Garnish with a lemon wheel and a maraschino cherry skewered together.
