A rustic French-style tart, the Apple Cinnamon Galette combines a flaky, buttery crust with sweet, spiced apple slices for a cozy, autumn-inspired dessert. (Serves 6-8)
For the Crust (Pâte Brisée)
1 ¼ cups (160g) all-purpose flour
1 tbsp granulated sugar
½ tsp salt
½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
4 tbsp ice water

3 medium apples (Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, or Fuji), thinly sliced
2 tbsp granulated sugar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp cornstarch (or flour, for thickening)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
For Assembly
1 egg (for egg wash)
1 tbsp milk or water
1 tbsp turbinado sugar (optional, for extra crunch)
Caramel sauce (for drizzling, optional)

Make the Crust
