10 oz raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, and finely diced
½ cup fresh lime juice
¼ cup fresh orange juice
1 small red chili, finely minced (adjust to taste)
2 tbsp red onion, very finely diced
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp fresh cilantro, finely chopped
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper
Optional: ½ avocado, diced
Optional garnish: chili slices, microgreens, citrus zest
Prepare the Shrimp
1 Place the diced shrimp in a glass or ceramic bowl.
Pour over the lime and orange juice, making sure the shrimp is fully submerged.
Cover and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes , until the shrimp turns opaque and firm.
Add Flavorings
2 Drain most of the citrus juice, leaving a small amount for moisture.
Add chili, red onion, olive oil, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Gently mix.
Fold in avocado if using.
Adjust & Chill
3 Taste and adjust seasoning or heat level.
Chill for 5–10 minutes before serving for best flavor.
